The Genesis team knows the entire design and construction process. Our staff includes licensed architects, civil engineers, construction professionals, and more. We have decades of experience planning a wide range of building types for an even wider variety of clients.
Team Testimonials
Dan Gainsboro, President and Founder
I am a born planner and organizer. For nearly 30 years, I have been on a quest to find ever-better ways to conceive and deliver building projects. My early experience in design, construction, and development has given me a broad perspective on the building process.
Over the years, I have learned a great deal about how successful buildings come together, how people collaborate effectively, and how to help our clients get the most out of limited funds. I find it very rewarding to bring that cumulative experience to every client’s project success.
Recently, I have started to move Genesis beyond project management and project planning and into the world of green, zero-net-energy residential development. It is my vision to have Genesis grow into the future through helping to plant the seeds of environmentally friendly, low-impact housing.
Suzanne Rivitz, AIA, J.D., Senior Project Planner
Over the past seven years, I have greatly enjoyed working with the Genesis team of competent, creative, and committed professionals. Genesis brings a wide variety of expertise and experience to a collaborative process aimed at delivering success for its clients.
I settled into traditional architecture nearly 20 years ago, focusing on planning, interior and exterior design, construction, and overall management of new buildings and building renovations. I am now thoroughly enjoying my Project Planning and Management responsibilities at Genesis, where I help our clients translate their program and operating needs into physical space needs – setting the stage for a successful building project.
Bill Kennedy, Project Manager
I came to Genesis later in my career, having accumulated over 35 years of experience in planning, construction, and civil and structural engineering before joining the Genesis team. As a licensed construction supervisor (MA) and the resident MEP specialist at Genesis, I’ve played an integral part in major projects with some of Genesis’ longest-tenured clients. Genesis has been a great working environment for me – it’s not often you can join a company later in your career and have them listen to you for guidance, and not just utilize your skills. I value the unique dynamics and initiatives of the Genesis workplace and of the company in general. They truly are different from other project management companies in an appreciable way.
Jaime Haber, Assistant Planner
I came to Genesis fresh out of college in 2006 with great enthusiasm about everything Genesis stood for. I shared Dan’s ideas about Starting Smarter leading to Building Better, and my educational background and experiences were a great fit with the company. From the beginning, I have been able to be involved in just about every step of several important planning and development projects. The work environment at Genesis is unlike anywhere else I’ve ever worked – the team is tightly-knit (both at and away from the office), and we always work collaboratively on every project in such a way that every team member’s unique expertise is utilized to the best extent for our clients. Our newfound drive towards sustainable development and zero-net-energy homes is especially exciting to me as an environmentalist, and I am thrilled to be a part of the next chapter of the Genesis Planners story.
